Investment Instruments

Time deposits, bonds & money market funds — track maturity and roll principal back to your accounts.

Overview

Investment Instruments (in the Advanced Finance app mode) is a treasury manager for time deposits, bonds, and money market funds. It tracks each instrument's status, projected payout, and maturity date, and lets you mature or roll over an instrument — moving principal and interest back to a linked account or into a new instrument.

Treasury Under the Hood

Internally this screen is powered by the app's treasury tracking, though its title and sidebar entry read Investment Instruments throughout.

Status-Filtered Table

Filter instruments by All, Active, Matured, or Rolled Over using tabs above the table.

Mature & Roll Over Actions

Mature an instrument to close it out, or roll it over to reinvest principal plus interest into a new instrument.

Projected Payout

Each instrument shows a projected payout calculated from its principal, rate, and remaining term.

Bulk Selection & Delete

Select multiple instruments and bulk-delete them from a toolbar that appears above the table.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I undo a bulk delete?
No. Bulk delete permanently removes every selected instrument — there is no undo, so review the selection carefully before confirming.
What happens to interest when I roll over an instrument?
Rolling over moves both the original principal and any accrued interest into the new instrument, so the new instrument starts with the combined amount.
Which account receives funds when an instrument matures?
The account linked to the instrument when it was created. Make sure the correct account is selected before maturing an instrument.
