A focused set of finance screens — profit & loss, budget forecasting, expense & budget management, payroll batches, and investment instruments — grouped under the Advanced Finance app mode.

Overview

Advanced Finance is an app mode that surfaces a compact set of finance and treasury screens for teams that need deeper financial control without the full Finance module's Hub/Grid navigation. It lives under Enterprise Operations → Advanced Finance in the documentation sidebar and is switched on from Settings → App Modes.

Separate From the Finance Module

These screens are independent of the main Finance module's own Reporting, Payroll, and Budgeting screens (e.g. Profit & Loss under Finance's Grid View). Advanced Finance is a standalone plain list of screens for this app mode — the two are not the same data views, even where names look similar.

Profit & Loss Statement

Fiscal-period P&L report with Revenue, COGS, and OpEx rollups, prior-period comparison, and an AI Assistant.

Budget Forecasting

Predictive department spend-tracking with a donut chart, variance KPI, and a forecasting ledger table.

Expenses & Budget Management

Department budget ceilings and an expense-claim approval workflow from draft through posting to the ledger.

Payroll Logistics & Batch

Monthly payroll batch processing with per-employee line items and draft → approved → paid disbursement.

Investment Instruments

Treasury tracking for time deposits, bonds, and money market funds, with maturity and roll-over actions.

AI Assistant on Every Screen

Each Advanced Finance screen includes its own collapsible AI Assistant panel scoped to that screen's current data.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I switch to Advanced Finance mode?

Go to Settings → App Modes and enable or switch to the Advanced Finance mode. The sidebar then shows only its screens: My Apps, Profit & Loss, Budget Forecasting, Expenses & Budget, Expense Management, Payroll Logistics, and Investment Instruments.

Is this the same data as the Finance module?

No. Advanced Finance's screens are separate from the Finance module's own Reporting and Budgeting screens. They read and write their own data — changes in one do not appear in the other.

Do all Advanced Finance screens have an AI Assistant?

Yes — each screen has its own collapsible AI Assistant panel that answers questions using that screen's current data as context.
