Control which events trigger in-app alerts, email digests, and workflow completion notifications.

In-App Notifications

When enabled, a notification toast fires in the bottom-right corner of the screen whenever a long-running background operation completes. This lets you start an AI pipeline or workflow run and switch to another screen without losing sight of when it finishes.

Option	Description

What triggers an in-app notification

Tip

In-app notifications are most useful when you run AI tasks in the terminal and then navigate away to work on something else. The toast brings you back as soon as the task is ready.

Email Notifications

Outbound email alerts are sent using the SMTP configuration in General Settings. Configure the SMTP credentials there first before enabling email notifications here.

Option	Description
Email notifications	Send an email when specific workflow events occur (e.g. a scheduled workflow finishes, an error threshold is hit).
Workflow alerts	Notify by email when a workflow run fails or exceeds a configured error count within a session.

FAQ

Can I keep in-app notifications on but mute email notifications?

Yes — the in-app and email toggles are independent. Turn off email notifications while leaving in-app enabled.

Do notifications persist after I close the browser tab?

In-app toasts are transient and disappear automatically after a few seconds. They are not stored or shown again on the next page load. Email notifications, however, remain in your inbox.

Which terminals fire in-app notifications?

Terminal Editor, Dev Hub, Security Hub, and Doc View all fire in-app notifications for their async AI blocks. Map Terminal, Canvas Terminal, and synchronous text-output commands do not trigger notifications.
