Preferences

Choose how dates, new records, tool cards and staff screens behave across your workspace.

Where to find it

Open Settings → Preferences. The options below change how common screens behave for you across the whole workspace, and they take effect immediately.

Date Format

Controls how dates are displayed across the workspace.

OptionExample
DD/MM/YYYY31/12/2026
MM/DD/YYYY12/31/2026
YYYY-MM-DD2026-12-31

Data & Record Rules

Manage how users interact with forms and create new records across the workspace.

OptionWhat it does
Allow Quick Create for Master DataWhen on, commercial screens (CRM, Sales, Purchase, E-commerce and others) let users create master data — a contact, lead, customer, company or vendor — inline from a searchable field instead of opening the master screen first.
How new records openModal opens the new-record form in a pop-up window; Panel opens it in a side panel. Applies to Purchase (Products & Variants, Purchase Orders, Vendor Management), Finance (Financial Accounts), Project Management (Kanban Board), Marketing (Social Scheduler), HR (Personnel List) and Performance KPI.

Tool View Mode

Chooses the card layout for how tool cards appear in Image Creator, Video Creator and Doc View: Detailed or Compact.

Staff Screens — Add Existing Employee

Every add-on has a Staff screen, and each one has an Add Existing Employee button that attaches the add-on to a person who already exists. This preference decides how that button works, for all add-ons at once.

OptionWhat happens
Quick add (default)Pick a person from the list, choose their role right below it, and click Add to team. The person joins the add-on immediately; no extra window opens.
Full formPick a person and their details open on the roles tab. Choose the role and save there — useful when you also want to edit work details at the same time.

Either way, a role is required (the role is what makes someone part of the team), the list only shows people who do not yet hold a role in that add-on, and the person’s HR department is never changed. See Staff & Multi-Hat Assignment.

Tip

This choice is remembered in your browser, so each person on a shared computer can keep their own.

FAQ

I switched to Full form but the list still shows only some people — why?
The list always hides people who already hold a role in that add-on. Both options show the same people; they only differ in where you pick the role.
Does adding someone change their department?
No. Adding someone to an add-on only gives them a role in it; their HR department and everything else on their profile stay as they were.
Why can’t I add someone without choosing a role?
The role is what makes a person part of an add-on’s team. If the add-on has no roles yet, create one on its Roles screen first.
