My Apps

Your personalised app launcher — pin, organise, and launch modules from a visual grid.

Overview

My Apps is a full-screen visual launcher that shows every screen currently pinned to your active App Mode. Think of it as a home screen for TotalApp — a fast, scannable overview of all the tools available to you right now.

Each tile is branded with the screen's gradient colour so you can identify modules at a glance. The currently active screen is highlighted with an accent border so you always know where you are.

Mode-Aware

My Apps only shows screens pinned to the currently active App Mode. Switch modes and the tile grid updates instantly to reflect the new mode's screen set.

View Modes

My Apps supports two display modes so you can balance information density with visual clarity.

Detailed View

Horizontal card layout. The screen icon sits on the left in a branded square, with the title and a short description on the right. Best when you are learning new modules and want context about each one.

Compact View

Square aspect-ratio tiles with a large icon and title only. Fits many more apps on screen simultaneously. Best for power users who already know which tile is which.

Switching View Modes

Toggle between Detailed and Compact using the LayoutList / LayoutGrid icon pair in the My Apps screen header. The same toggle is also available globally in Settings → Appearance → Tool View Mode — changing it there updates My Apps and any other tool-picker screen simultaneously.

Pinning & Organising Screens

You control exactly which screens appear in My Apps (and the sidebar) for each mode.

Adding a Screen

  1. Click the "+" button in the sidebar to open the Manage Screens modal.
  2. Browse the grouped list of all available screens.
  3. Toggle any screen on to pin it to the current mode.
  4. The tile appears in My Apps and the sidebar immediately — no page reload.

Removing a Screen

  1. Open Manage Screens modal via the "+" button.
  2. Find the screen you want to remove and toggle it off.
  3. The tile disappears from My Apps and the sidebar instantly.

Data is Never Deleted

Unpinning a screen from My Apps does not delete any data. If you unpin the Kanban Board, all your projects and tasks remain intact. Simply re-pin the screen to access them again.

Reordering Tiles

In the Manage Screens modal, drag any screen entry up or down to change its position. The order in the modal is reflected in both the sidebar navigation list and the My Apps tile grid.

Navigating from My Apps

My Apps is an interactive launcher — tiles are not decorative.

  • Click any tile to navigate directly to that screen. TotalApp switches to the screen immediately.
  • The active screen tile shows a subtle highlight border so you always know which screen you are currently viewing.
  • My Apps itself can be reached from the sidebar (look for the grid icon) or by clicking the app logo in the header, depending on your mode configuration.

Quick Navigation Tip

My Apps is the fastest way to jump across modes. Instead of using the header mode chip to cycle through modes, navigate to My Apps and click the tile for any screen — even one in a different mode — and TotalApp will switch mode and screen in a single click.

Settings — My Apps Tab

The Settings → My Apps tab provides a mode-level view of all pinned screens, complementing the Manage Screens modal with additional configuration options.

What You Can Do There

  • Switch active mode — click any mode card to make it the active App Mode.
  • View all pinned screens per mode — each mode shows its current screen set as a compact list.
  • Toggle screens on/off per mode — identical to the Manage Screens modal but presented in a tabular per-mode layout, useful for reviewing your configuration across all modes at once.
  • Reset a mode to defaults — removes any customisation and restores the original default screen set for that mode.

Gradient Colours

Every tile in My Apps uses a unique gradient colour that matches the screen's brand identity throughout TotalApp — the same gradient appears on the Landing Page card, the sidebar icon backdrop, and the My Apps tile. This makes screens immediately recognisable across every surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't I see all TotalApp screens in My Apps?
My Apps only displays screens pinned to your currently active App Mode. If a screen you expect is missing, first check whether you're in the right mode using the header mode switcher, then open the "+" Manage Screens modal from the sidebar and confirm the screen's toggle is switched on for that mode.
If I unpin a screen from My Apps, do I lose the data inside it?
No. Unpinning only removes the tile from My Apps and the sidebar — it never deletes underlying data. For example, unpinning the Kanban Board leaves all your projects and tasks fully intact on the server; re-pinning the screen through the Manage Screens modal restores access to that same data immediately.
What's the difference between Detailed View and Compact View, and where else can I change it?
Detailed View shows horizontal cards with an icon, title, and short description — useful when you're still learning what each module does. Compact View shows smaller square tiles with just an icon and title, fitting more apps on screen at once. You can toggle between them using the LayoutList/LayoutGrid icons in the My Apps header, or globally via Settings → Appearance → Tool View Mode, which keeps every tool-picker screen in sync.
Can I change the order of tiles in My Apps, and will it affect the sidebar too?
Yes. Open the Manage Screens modal from the "+" button in the sidebar and drag any screen entry up or down. The new order applies to both the sidebar navigation list and the My Apps tile grid simultaneously, since they share the same underlying pinned-screen configuration per mode.
