TotalApp Docs

Sign Up & Registration

Create your TotalApp account in minutes using email and password or sign up instantly with a third-party provider such as Google, Slack or Shopify.

Creating an Account

Visit app.totalapp.app and click Get Started or Sign Up. You can register with a work email or continue with any of the supported third-party providers for one-click access.

Email Sign-In

Enter your email address, choose a secure password and click Create Account. A verification email is sent immediately — check your inbox and click the link to activate your account.

Social Auth (Google, GitHub…)

Click Continue with Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or LinkedIn and authorise TotalApp on the provider's consent screen. No password is required; your profile photo and display name are imported automatically where the provider makes them available.

Platform Auth (Shopify, Slack…)

Click Continue with Shopify or Slack to sign up using a business platform account. Shopify sign-up additionally asks for your store domain so TotalApp can connect to the right shop, and Slack sign-up authorises TotalApp against your Slack workspace.

Invitation

If a workspace admin invited you, click the link in the invitation email. The registration flow pre-fills your email and assigns you to the correct workspace automatically on sign-up.

Workspace Setup

After registration you are prompted to name your workspace and choose an App Mode. The workspace name can only be changed later by a Tenant Admin in Settings; the App Mode can be changed by any workspace member. The workspace is your private tenant — all data is isolated from other organisations.

Email Verification

Email-registered accounts must be verified before you can access all features. The verification email is sent from noreply@totalapp.app and expires in 24 hours.

  • Click the Verify my email button in the email — you will be redirected to TotalApp and logged in automatically
  • If you did not receive the email, check your spam/junk folder and allow-list totalapp.app
  • Request a new verification email from the login screen by clicking Resend verification
  • Accounts created via Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, LinkedIn or Shopify are verified automatically — no additional step is required

Tip

Use a business email address for your account so colleagues can easily identify you when collaborating inside a shared workspace. You can add a third-party login such as Google, Slack or Shopify to an email account later via Settings → Security → Linked Accounts.

Step-by-Step Sign-In

Third-Party Provider Sign-In

If you used Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, LinkedIn or Shopify to sign up, click the matching Continue with… button. No password is required.

Email & Password

Sign in with your email address and password. The Remember me option keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.

Two-Factor Authentication

If 2FA is enabled, you'll be asked for a code from an SMS message or an authenticator app after entering your password.

Magic Link

A passwordless sign-in option: enter your email address, then click the one-time link sent to your inbox to log in.

Common Sign-In Issues

I get "No account found with this email address."
You may have entered the wrong email address — try a different one. If you signed up with Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, LinkedIn or Shopify, use the matching Continue with… button instead — email sign-in won't work for those accounts.
My password is correct but I still can't sign in.
Check that Caps Lock isn't on. Clear any auto-filled password from your browser and type it manually. If the problem persists, visit Password Recovery.
The verification email never arrived.
Check your spam/junk folder and wait a few minutes. Click Resend verification from the sign-up screen. If you use a corporate email address, check with IT that the message isn't being blocked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I sign up with a personal Gmail address instead of a work email?
Yes. Both the email registration form and the "Continue with Google" button accept any valid email address, including personal Gmail accounts. However, using a business email is recommended if you plan to invite colleagues into the same workspace later, since it makes it easier for teammates to recognise your account.
I signed up with email but never received the verification message. What should I do?
First check your spam or junk folder and allow-list totalapp.app, since the verification email is sent from noreply@totalapp.app. If it still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, go to the login screen and click Resend verification to trigger a new email. The original link expires after 24 hours, so requesting a fresh one is the fastest fix if too much time has passed.
Do I need to verify my email if I sign up with a third-party provider?
No. Accounts created via "Continue with Google", GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, LinkedIn or Shopify are verified automatically as part of the provider's OAuth sign-up flow, since the provider has already confirmed ownership of that account. You can start using TotalApp immediately without an extra verification step.
Which third-party providers can I use to sign up?
TotalApp supports one-click sign-up with Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, LinkedIn and Shopify. For Shopify, you'll also be asked to enter your store domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com) so TotalApp can connect to the correct shop.
What happens if I register using an invite link — do I still choose my own workspace?
No. When you register through an invite link, the sign-up flow pre-fills your email and automatically assigns your new account to the workspace (tenant) the invite was created for — you do not get the workspace-naming step that self-service sign-ups see. If you instead sign up independently at app.totalapp.app without using an invite link, you'll create your own new workspace and can name it and pick an App Mode yourself.
