Sales Dashboard
Real-time sales KPIs, revenue charts, top products, and rep performance at a glance.
Overview
The Sales Dashboard is the command centre for sales managers and executives. It aggregates data from Quotations, CRM deals, Ecommerce Reports, and Finance Accounts Receivable into a single view, giving you an instant read on current-period performance without switching between screens.
Use the period selector in the top toolbar to switch the entire dashboard between Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom date ranges. All KPI cards, charts, and tables update simultaneously when you change the period. The comparison indicator on each KPI card always compares the selected period against the equivalent previous period (e.g. selecting "This Month" compares against "Last Month").
KPI Cards
Six KPI cards run across the top of the dashboard. Each card shows the current-period value and a coloured percentage change badge (green for up, red for down) vs the previous period. Example for a monthly view:
Click any KPI card to open a drill-down panel showing the individual transactions or deals that make up the number.
Revenue Chart
The revenue bar chart below the KPI row shows daily revenue for the selected period. Each bar represents one day's revenue from all channels (quotation orders, ecommerce, and manually recorded sales). Toggle the Compare switch in the chart header to overlay the equivalent previous-period data as a translucent bar behind each current-period bar — this makes seasonal patterns and growth trends immediately visible.
Tip — Identify Anomalies Quickly
In Compare mode, any bar that is significantly shorter than its previous-period counterpart indicates a revenue drop on that specific day. Hover the bar to see the exact figures and the percentage difference, then cross-reference with the Quotations or Ecommerce Reports screens to identify the cause.
Top Products
The Top Products panel on the right side of the dashboard shows the 10 best-performing catalog items for the selected period, ranked by total revenue. Each row shows the product name, category, units sold, total revenue, and revenue as a share of the period total (displayed as a mini bar).
Use this panel to identify which products drive the most revenue, which products have high unit volume but low revenue (potential upsell candidates), and which products have dropped off since the previous period. Click any product row to open its full Sales Catalog entry with historical performance data.
Sales Rep Performance
The Rep Performance table lists every rep who has recorded at least one deal in the selected period. Columns include:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Rep Name | The CRM user assigned as the deal owner. |
| Deals Closed | Number of deals moved to "Won" status in the selected period. |
| Revenue Generated | Total value of all Won deals attributed to this rep in the period. |
| Quota Attainment | Revenue generated as a percentage of the rep's period quota. Shown as a coloured progress bar: green ≥ 100%, amber 70–99%, red < 70%. |
| Pipeline Value | Total value of all active (non-Won, non-Lost) deals owned by this rep — the forward-looking indicator. |
Quotas are set per rep in Settings → Sales → Quotas. If no quota is configured for a rep, the Quota Attainment column shows "No quota set" rather than a misleading 0%.
Funnel Chart
The funnel chart visualises how deals move through the pipeline stages: Leads → Qualified → Proposal → Won. Each band shows the deal count and total value at that stage, plus the conversion rate from the previous stage (e.g. "Qualified to Proposal: 68%"). A narrow band relative to the one above it immediately reveals where in the process the most leads are being lost.
The funnel pulls its data from CRM deal stages in real time. Deals closed in the selected period appear in the Won band; all active deals appear in their current stage band. Click any funnel band to filter the rep performance table below to show only deals in that stage.
Workstation and Enterprise Modes
The Sales Dashboard supports both visual modes available in TotalApp. Switch between them in Settings → Appearance → Screen Style:
- Workstation (default) — Dark glass aesthetic with glowing KPI cards and chart elements in the TotalApp brand palette. Designed for daily internal use on dark-display workstations.
- Enterprise — Clean white background, bold typography, and corporate colour scheme. Recommended for screen-share presentations with external stakeholders, clients, or board members who expect a traditional business intelligence look.
AI Assistant
Click the vertical AI Assistant tab on the right edge of the screen (or the Sparkles toggle) to open a chat panel over the dashboard. Because the Sales Dashboard is a chart/KPI screen rather than a record list, the assistant is scoped to dashboard-style capabilities only — it narrates and explains the aggregate numbers already rendered on screen, it does not edit any quotations or pipeline deals:
- Executive summary — a plain-language readout of the current sales standing, calling out notable revenue trends and the customers/products driving the most revenue.
- Root cause & anomaly detection — when revenue has spiked or dropped month-over-month, or a pipeline stage looks unusually large or small, the assistant explains which customers, products, or deals are driving it, naming them specifically.
- Recommendations — turns an observed pattern into a concrete, quantified suggestion (e.g. flagging a customer concentration risk), grounded in the actual numbers shown on the dashboard.
Every reply can be saved with the Save as Report button, which stores it in My Reports under a title derived from your question and the current month/year. The panel respects the Writer Engine selected in Settings → Agentic (Local CLI, Hosted API, Local LLM, or Ollama) — Ollama and other local/in-browser engines run entirely on your own machine and never proxy through the server.
