QHSE
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment — incident reporting, permit-to-work control, and scheduled safety inspections, each with a multi-select table and an embedded AI Assistant.
Overview
QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) is TotalApp's module for managing workplace safety and compliance across your organization. It covers three connected workflows: reporting and investigating incidents, controlling high-risk work through permits, and running scheduled safety inspections with scored checklists.
All three screens share the same multi-select table pattern and an embedded AI Assistant, so HSE officers can triage, filter, and ask questions about their data without leaving the screen.
Incident Reporting
Log injuries, near misses, property damage, environmental events, and quality violations. Track severity, status, root cause, and corrective actions from report to closure.
Permit to Work
Control hot work, confined space entry, working at height, electrical work, and excavation with a checklist-backed permit lifecycle from draft to closure.
Safety Inspections
Schedule and run walk-through inspections against a pass/fail/N-A checklist, with an automatically computed compliance score per inspection.
Multi-Select Tables
Every QHSE table supports row and select-all checkboxes, styled by the shared List Style settings (Settings → Appearance) — the same pattern used across every TotalApp list screen.
AI Assistant
Each screen has its own embedded AI Assistant, scoped to that screen's data — triage open items, spot patterns, and summarize backlogs directly from the record list.
Full Localisation
Every label, status badge, filter tab, and AI Assistant prompt is fully localised — English and Turkish are supported out of the box.
Quick Start
- Enable QHSE under Settings → App Modes if it is not already visible in your sidebar.
- Open Incident Reporting to log your first incident, or Permit to Work to raise a work permit.
- Use the search box and status tabs on each screen to narrow down the record list.
- Select one or more rows with the checkboxes, then open the AI Assistant panel (sparkle tab on the right edge) to ask questions scoped to your selection.
- Use the Export button on each screen to download the current filtered view as a CSV file.

Multi-Select and List Style
All three QHSE tables share the same selection model: a header checkbox to select or clear every row currently in view, and a per-row checkbox to toggle individual records. When one or more rows are selected, a selected-count bar appears above the table.
The checkbox shape and appearance are driven by the shared List Style settings (Settings → Appearance):
- Multi-Select Shape — Circle or Square checkboxes.
- Show Check Icon — when on, a selected checkbox additionally shows a white checkmark inside the filled shape.
One Setting, Many Screens
List Style is not specific to QHSE — changing it in Settings → Appearance updates the checkbox shape consistently across all three QHSE tables and every other list-based screen in TotalApp.
AI Assistant
Each QHSE screen has its own collapsible AI Assistant panel on the right edge. Click the sparkle tab to open it. If one or more rows are selected, the assistant's context is scoped to just those records; otherwise it uses the current filtered view.

The assistant answers using whichever AI provider is configured under Settings → Agentic, so it works whether your tenant is set up for the hosted API, a local CLI, or a fully client-side model.
