My Tasks
Your personal task dashboard — all tasks assigned to you across every project.
Overview
My Tasks aggregates every task assigned to the currently logged-in user from every project across every mode into a single, unified view. Instead of opening each project's Kanban board separately to check what you need to do today, My Tasks gives you one place to see your complete workload.
Scoped to You
My Tasks only shows tasks where you are listed as the assignee. Tasks assigned to other team members — even from the same projects — do not appear here. For a full cross-user task list, use the All Tasks screen.
Views — List & Card Grid
My Tasks supports two display modes selectable via the LayoutList / LayoutGrid toggle in the screen header.
List View (default)
Each task occupies one row showing the status indicator, title, priority badge, project name, and due date. Compact and fast to scan when you have many tasks. Best for daily stand-ups.
Card Grid View
Each task renders as a card tile with a colour-coded priority stripe, task title, project name, due date, and a status badge. More visual — useful for presentations or when the task description context is helpful.
Filtering & Sorting
Use the filter bar below the screen title to narrow down your task list.
Filter Tabs
- All — shows every task assigned to you regardless of status.
- Active — tasks that are In Progress, To Do, or in Backlog that are not yet past their due date.
- Overdue — tasks whose due date has passed and which are not marked Done. These are highlighted with a red date badge.
- Completed — tasks marked as Done. Useful for reviewing what you finished in a period.
Sort Options
The sort dropdown (right side of the filter bar) offers:
- Due Date — ascending (soonest first), the default. Overdue tasks always sort to the top regardless of this setting.
- Priority — Critical → High → Medium → Low.
- Project — alphabetical by project name, useful when you want to batch tasks by project.
- Status — groups tasks by Kanban column (Backlog / To Do / In Progress / Review / Done).
Search
The search input on the left of the filter bar filters tasks by title in real time as you type. Combine with a filter tab — for example, search "auth" within the Overdue filter to find overdue authentication-related tasks.
Quick Actions
My Tasks is not read-only — you can take action directly from the list without opening the full Kanban board.
Update Status
Click the status dot on the left of any task row to cycle its Kanban column status. The dot colour updates immediately and the task may move between filter groups (e.g. a task moved to Done disappears from the Active filter).
Open Full Detail
Click anywhere on the task row (other than the status dot) to open the task detail modal. From here you can edit all fields: title, description, assignee, priority, due date, and labels. Changes are saved back to the project's Kanban board immediately.
Right-Click Context Menu
Right-click any task row to open a context menu with shortcuts:
- Mark as Done — moves the task to Done column
- Mark as In Progress — moves back to In Progress
- Open on Kanban — navigates to the Kanban board with this project active and the card highlighted
- Copy task link — copies a deep link to this specific task
Bulk Status Update
To quickly mark multiple tasks as Done at the end of a sprint, use the status dot on each task in the Completed filter. Status updates are instant — no need to open each card individually.
AI Assistant
The AI assistant on My Tasks has direct access to your personal task list, making it the best screen for daily planning queries.
Open the Panel
Click the vertical "AI Assistant" tab on the right edge of the screen. The panel slides in and shows suggested questions to help you get started.
Example Prompts
- "What are my top 3 priorities today?"
- "How many tasks do I have due this week?"
- "Summarise my overdue tasks and suggest which to tackle first"
- "Which projects am I currently contributing to?"
- "Draft a daily standup update based on my tasks"
Daily Standup Helper
Ask "Draft my standup update for today" and the assistant will generate a concise paragraph covering what you finished yesterday, what you are working on today, and any blockers — based on your actual task statuses. Save it as a report and share it with your team.
All Tasks Screen
My Tasks shows only tasks assigned to you. If you need to see tasks across the entire team — useful for project managers and leads — use the All Tasks screen.
- All Tasks appears in the PM Mode sidebar as a separate entry (below My Tasks).
- It includes every task from every project, with an additional Assignee column.
- The same filter tabs (All / Active / Overdue / Completed) and sort options are available.
- Managers can reassign tasks directly from All Tasks by clicking the assignee chip on any row.
