Execution & Workflow Hub

Tasks, kanban board and project timeline in one consolidated screen.

Overview

Execution & Workflow Hub is where day-to-day project work happens — task lists, the kanban board, and the project timeline — all reachable from a single hub without leaving the page. It consolidates three sub-screens into one page with an internal sub-navigation list: selecting an item on the left renders that sub-screen’s content inline, without a full navigation away from the hub.

It is one of the five hubs that make up Project Management’s Hub view mode, alongside Portfolio & Planning, Risk & Quality Control, Design & Collaboration, and Analytics. Unlike some of the other PM hubs, Execution & Workflow Hub is fully built out — all three of its sub-screens are live, functioning screens with no placeholders.

What's Included

Sub-screenStatusDescription
TasksLiveThe All Tasks screen (AllTasksScreen) — every task across your projects in a single filterable list.
KanbanLiveThe Kanban Board (KanbanBoard) — drag-and-drop task cards across status columns.
TimelineLiveThe Project Timeline (ProjectTimeline) — a Gantt-style view of tasks and dates.

How It Works

Open Execution & Workflow Hub from the sidebar
Pick Tasks, Kanban or Timeline from the internal list on the left
Its content renders in place — no full page navigation

All three sub-screens are fully live and are the exact same components used by the standalone All Tasks, Kanban Board and Timeline screens in Grid View — a task moved on the kanban board here is the same task shown on the Timeline and in the standalone Kanban Board screen. Because there are no placeholder sub-screens in this hub, every entry in its internal navigation is immediately usable.

One task, three perspectives

Tasks, Kanban and Timeline are three different views over the same underlying task records — a list, a board, and a chronological timeline. Editing a task’s status or dates in one view is reflected immediately in the other two, whether you reach them through this hub or through their standalone Grid View screens.

Hub View vs. Grid View

Same data, different navigation

Execution & Workflow Hub only appears in the sidebar in Hub view mode. In Grid view mode, its sub-screens are reachable directly as standalone entries: All Tasks, Kanban, and Timeline. Switching between the two view modes changes only how the screens are organized in the sidebar — never the underlying task data itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are any of the three sub-screens in this hub still “Soon” placeholders?
No. Tasks, Kanban and Timeline are all fully live today — Execution & Workflow Hub is the one PM hub with no placeholder sub-screens.
If I drag a card on the Kanban Board inside this hub, does it also move on the standalone Kanban Board screen?
Yes. The Kanban sub-screen here renders the exact same KanbanBoard component used by the standalone Grid View screen — there is exactly one kanban board, and this hub is just one of two navigation paths to it.
Does the Timeline sub-screen show tasks from every project, or just one?
It shows the same scope as the standalone Project Timeline screen in Grid View — since it is the identical ProjectTimeline component, whatever project or filter scope applies there applies here too.
Can I switch between Tasks, Kanban and Timeline without losing my filters?
Each sub-screen keeps its own filter state independently, the same as when navigating between the standalone All Tasks, Kanban Board and Timeline screens in Grid View — switching sub-screens inside the hub does not reset the other sub-screens’ filters.
Why is this hub called “Execution & Workflow” instead of just “Tasks”?
The name reflects all three sub-screens together — task execution (Tasks), workflow visualization (Kanban) and schedule tracking (Timeline) — rather than just one of them, since all three are core, equally-weighted parts of day-to-day project execution.
