Design & Collaboration Hub
Diagrams, team boards and team directory in one consolidated screen.
Overview
Design & Collaboration Hub groups the visual and people-facing side of project work — diagramming, shared whiteboards, and the project team directory — behind one entry point. It consolidates three sub-screens into a single page with an internal sub-navigation list: selecting an item on the left renders that sub-screen’s content inline, without a full navigation away from the hub.
It is one of the five hubs that make up Project Management’s Hub view mode, alongside Portfolio & Planning, Execution & Workflow, Risk & Quality Control, and Analytics. All three of its sub-screens are live, functioning screens — and one of them, Team Boards, is a component shared with the Collaboration add-on rather than something built specifically for Project Management.
What's Included
| Sub-screen | Status | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Diagrams | Live | The Project Design / Diagram Designer screen (ProjectDiagrams), rendered with its own sidebar shown inline. |
| Team Boards | Live | My Boards (MyBoards) — shared collaborative whiteboards for team members, reused from the Collaboration add-on. |
| Team | Live | The project team directory (PMTeamScreen) — who is on the project and their roles. |
How It Works
All three sub-screens are fully live. Diagrams and Team are Project Management’s own components, while Team Boards is MyBoards, the same shared whiteboard component used inside the Collaboration add-on’s My Boards screen — a board created there is the same board you’ll see here, just reached through a different hub.
A shared component across two modules
Team Boards is not a Project-Management-specific copy of whiteboarding — it is the exact same MyBoards component the Collaboration add-on uses for its own My Boards screen. This hub simply gives project teams a second, project-scoped entry point into the same underlying boards.
Diagrams Sub-Navigation
The Diagrams sub-screen renders the Project Diagrams component with its own sidebar shown alongside the hub’s node list (the same diagram browsing sidebar available in the standalone Diagram Designer screen), so switching between diagrams stays as fast here as in Grid View.
Same data, different navigation
Design & Collaboration Hub only appears in the sidebar in Hub view mode. In Grid view mode, its sub-screens are reachable directly as standalone entries: Project Design, My Boards, and Team. Switching between the two view modes changes only how the screens are organized in the sidebar — never the underlying diagram, board, or team data itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
MyBoards, the exact same component used by the Collaboration add-on’s standalone My Boards screen — there is one set of boards, and Design & Collaboration Hub is simply an additional path to reach them from inside Project Management.MyBoards component against the same underlying data, a board created from Design & Collaboration Hub appears immediately in the Collaboration add-on’s My Boards screen, and vice versa.PMTeamScreen component used in Grid View, so its exact capabilities — viewing versus managing roles — are identical in both places; this hub does not add or remove any functionality from that screen.ProjectDiagrams with showSidebar enabled, which is the same diagram-browsing sidebar available in the standalone Diagram Designer screen. Team Boards and Team don’t have an equivalent secondary navigation layer, so they render without one.
