Magic Tags
AI automatic tag generation and image categorization — organize, discover, and optimize your entire image library instantly.
Overview
Magic Tags is an intelligent tagging system that uses advanced AI vision and natural language processing to automatically analyze images and generate relevant, accurate tags and keywords. It eliminates manual tagging effort while making your images more organized, searchable, and discoverable across platforms.
Key Benefits
- Automatic Organization: Instantly categorize and tag large image collections without manual effort
- SEO Enhancement: Improve search visibility with relevant, high-value keywords
- Content Discovery: Make images findable in galleries, databases, and search engines
- Time Saving: Process hundreds of images in the time it takes to manually tag one
How It Works
Magic Tags uses multi-stage AI analysis — first understanding what is visually present, then mapping those elements to a structured, searchable vocabulary of tags across six categories.
Step 1 — Upload
Upload a single image or an entire batch (up to 100 at once). Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP up to 20 MB each.
Step 2 — Recognition
AI identifies objects, people, animals, scenes, activities, emotions, colors, and artistic style present in the image.
Step 3 — Tag Generation
10–50 tags are generated per image across multiple categories, ranked by relevance and confidence score.
Step 4 — Review & Apply
Accept all tags, remove irrelevant ones, add custom tags, and export them as metadata, CSV, or JSON.
Tag Categories
Magic Tags organizes output into six structured categories, giving you both breadth and specificity:
| Category | Examples | Primary Use |
|---|---|---|
| People & Characters | woman, smiling, business attire, elderly | Stock photo licensing, audience targeting |
| Animals & Nature | golden retriever, forest, wildflowers, sunset | Nature galleries, wildlife databases |
| Objects & Places | skyscraper, bicycle, café, modern kitchen | E-commerce, real estate, travel content |
| Colors & Style | minimalist, warm tones, pastel, high contrast | Brand consistency, design asset search |
| Technical | shallow depth of field, golden hour, wide angle | Photography metadata, stock submission |
| Mood & Emotion | serene, energetic, nostalgic, dramatic | Marketing creative briefs, mood boards |
Features
Hierarchical Tags
Generates both broad tags (e.g. "animal") and specific sub-tags (e.g. "border collie") for flexible filtering at any granularity.
Multi-language Support
Generate tags in multiple languages simultaneously to support international audiences and multilingual content platforms.
Customizable Density
Control whether you receive a concise set of 10 high-confidence tags or a comprehensive list of up to 50 for deep SEO coverage.
Batch Processing
Tag up to 100 images simultaneously. Batch results are delivered as a downloadable CSV or JSON for easy import into your DAM.
Manual Refinement
Add, remove, or reorder tags in the inline editor. Save custom tag sets as reusable templates for recurring image types.
Confidence Scores
Each tag includes a confidence percentage so you can filter out low-confidence suggestions and keep only high-accuracy tags.
Best Practices
Getting Better Tags
- Use clear, well-lit images — blurry or poorly exposed images reduce tag accuracy
- Crop to the subject — removing cluttered backgrounds improves object recognition
- Review & refine — always scan generated tags and remove any that do not match your content
- Create templates — save tag presets for recurring image categories (product shots, headshots, landscapes)
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using Magic Tags on heavily compressed or watermarked images — results will be less accurate
- Accepting all tags without review — always check for irrelevant or incorrect tags
- Skipping the Mood & Emotion category — these tags are often the most effective for creative and marketing use cases
