The Legal add-on: matter management, contracts, client directory and legal billing.
Module Overview
The Legal add-on (package id legal, domain LEGAL) equips a firm or in-house legal team to manage matters, draft and approve contracts, maintain a client directory and file with courts. It is a wired, purchasable package — gated by a tenant entitlement and per-user Legal roles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to use the Legal add-on?
The tenant must have the Legal package activated, and your user must hold a Legal domain role (e.g. Associate Lawyer). See Roles & Capabilities.
Can a Legal user see other add-ons’ data?
No. A Legal role exposes only LEGAL and GLOBAL capabilities — never Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.
Who can manage the Legal team?
Only users with the legal.staff.manage approver capability, plus tenant admins via the governance Legal Team screen.
Where is Legal data stored?
Under the tenant’s per-module folder on the server (roles in roles/roles.json, operational data in the Legal module folder).
