Insurance — Roles & Capabilities

Out-of-the-box roles, capabilities, categories and the Capability Catalog for the Insurance add-on.

Domain Roles & Capabilities

Insurance ships out-of-the-box roles under the INSURANCE domain. Assigning a role to a staff member auto-grants that role’s capabilities as a domain “hat”.

Categories, codes & the Capability Catalog

The Insurance Roles screen uses the shared Roles shell: each role has a Category (Management / Operations / Field / Administrative, editable via Manage Categories), an auto-generated Role Code, a description, and a resource-grouped capability picker. A read-only Capability Catalog lists every INSURANCE capability for reference.

Auto-grant & multi-hat

Selecting a role when adding staff attaches the role’s capabilities to the employee. An existing employee can carry an Insurance hat alongside hats in other domains.

AI Assistant

The Insurance Roles & Capabilities screen ships with an embedded AI Assistant — the same right-edge panel used across TotalApp. Open it from the vertical AI Assistant tab on the right of the screen; it understands your current role catalog and answers in Markdown (Turkish or English, matching your question).

Because claims work is a fraud-control environment, the assistant is tuned for permission-model review:

  • Structure review — summarize what each role can do and how they differ.
  • Least-privilege review — flag roles that look over-permissioned (e.g. an intake role holding estimate/settlement approval).
  • Separation-of-duties — surface roles that both perform and approve the same action (review + approve estimates, or manage + settle subrogation).
  • Coverage gaps — capabilities granted by no role, or missing approver coverage for payouts.
  • Onboarding help — suggest which role fits a described claims job.

Tick one or more roles in the table to scope the conversation, then use Analyze selected or Summarize selected. Any answer can be saved via Save as Report (it lands in My Reports), and Add Knowledge lets you attach reference documents to ground the reply.

Engine-aware

The assistant respects your Settings → Agentic writer engine: Ollama / local-LLM / in-browser models run entirely on your machine, while API / Local-CLI route through the server — the panel never leaks your data to a server the selected engine can’t reach.
