Org Chart

Visualise your company's hierarchy across departments, titles, and reporting lines in three distinct views.

View Modes

Tree View

Classic top-to-bottom hierarchy tree. Shows the full structure with connecting lines from the CEO down to department managers and individuals.

Grid View

Lists all employees in card format. Ideal for a bulk overview sorted by department, title, and seniority.

List View

Displays employees in a compact table format. Fast scanning for large teams.

Data Source

The org chart is generated automatically from employee records in Employees. Each employee's Department, Title, and Manager fields appear as nodes in the chart. To add employees or update information, use Employees.

Auto-Updates

Any change made in Employees (department transfer, title change, manager assignment) is immediately reflected in the Org Chart. There is no need to manually edit the chart.

Export

You can export the org chart as a PNG image. On large charts, zoom out to capture the full picture, then use the Export button.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can an employee have more than one manager?
In the current version each employee has a single primary manager. Matrix-structure support (multiple reporting lines) is planned for a future release.
Where do employees without a manager appear?
Employees whose Manager field is left blank appear at the root (top level) of the tree view. This is typically the CEO or other top-level executives.
Which view mode should I use for a large organization?
Use Grid View or List View for large teams — they let you scan and sort by department, title, and seniority quickly. Tree View is best for smaller teams or when you need to visualise the full reporting hierarchy at once.
Do I need to manually rebuild the chart after editing an employee's department or manager?
No. The Org Chart reads directly from Employees' Department, Title, and Manager fields, so any transfer, title change, or manager reassignment is reflected automatically the next time the chart is opened.
