Government Operations — Overview

The Public Sector / Government Operations add-on: jurisdictional GIS boundaries, statutory tariffs, public budget coding, permits, records requests, grants and citizen services.

Module Overview

The Government Operations add-on (package id government, domain GOVERNMENT) equips a municipality, county, or public-sector agency to maintain jurisdictional boundary data, statutory fee/fine/tax schedules and analytical public budget codes, then run permit review, field inspection, public records (FOIA), grant disbursement, fleet/infrastructure maintenance and citizen service request (311) operations on top of that master data. It is a wired, purchasable package — gated by a tenant entitlement and per-user Government roles.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to use the Government Operations add-on?
The tenant must have the Government package activated, and your user must hold a Government domain role (e.g. Permit & Zoning Officer). See Roles & Capabilities.
Can a Government user see other add-ons' data?
No. A Government role exposes only GOVERNMENT and GLOBAL capabilities — never Legal, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.
Who can manage the Government team?
Tenant admins, via the governance Roles and Public Personnel & Bargaining Unit Roster screens under Administration & Access.
Where should I start setting up this add-on?
Start with the three Operational Setup screens — jurisdictional boundaries, statutory fee schedules and the public budget directory — since permit, inspection, grant and citizen-service workflows reference this master data. See Operational Setup.
