Leaderboard Ads

Design 728×90 and 970×90 leaderboard banner ads for the Google Display Network.

Overview

Leaderboard ads are wide horizontal banners that appear at the top or bottom of web pages. TotalApp supports all standard leaderboard sizes for the Google Display Network.

Editor Layout

The wide canvas reflects the actual pixel dimensions of each format. Use the size switcher in the top toolbar to switch between leaderboard sizes without losing your design.

Design Tips

Keep it simple

Leaderboards have limited vertical space. Use a single headline and one CTA button.

Brand logo left

Place your logo on the left side — users scan left to right.

CTA right

Position the call-to-action button on the right edge for maximum click-through.

Contrasting colours

Use a CTA button colour that contrasts strongly with the background.

AI Content Generation

Click the AI button to generate leaderboard-optimised copy:

  • Short headline (max 30 characters recommended)
  • CTA text (e.g. "Shop Now", "Learn More")
  • The AI adapts copy length to the selected banner size.

Exporting

Export your leaderboard ads as:

  • PNG — static image for standard placements.
  • HTML5 — animated banner with entrance animation.
  • All sizes — ZIP archive with all leaderboard variants.

Which leaderboard sizes does TotalApp support?
TotalApp supports all standard Google Display Network leaderboard formats: 728×90 (Leaderboard), 970×90 (Large Leaderboard), 970×250 (Billboard), and 468×60 (Banner). You can switch between these sizes at any time using the size switcher in the top toolbar without losing your current design.
Will I lose my design if I switch between leaderboard sizes mid-edit?
No. The editor canvas reflects the actual pixel dimensions of each format, and the size switcher in the top toolbar is designed to let you move between leaderboard sizes while preserving your existing layout, text, and branding elements.
What does the AI content generation button actually produce?
Clicking the AI button generates a short headline (30 characters or fewer is recommended for leaderboard formats) and CTA text such as "Shop Now" or "Learn More". The AI automatically adapts the length of the generated copy to fit the banner size you currently have selected.
What export formats are available, and when should I use each one?
You can export as PNG for static image placements, as HTML5 for an animated banner with an entrance animation, or as an "All sizes" ZIP archive that bundles every leaderboard variant together — useful when you need to hand off a complete set of assets to an ad network or media buyer in one step.
