Commercial Accounts Hub

Receivables and payables for customers and suppliers, combined or by ledger.

Overview

Commercial Accounts Hub is where Finance tracks money owed to the business (receivables) and money the business owes (payables). It offers three ways to view the same underlying ledgers: a combined read-through of both, or either ledger on its own. It is one of the five hubs reachable from Finance Hub and is only shown in the sidebar when Hub view mode is active.

All three sub-screens are fully live today — Commercial Accounts Hub has no placeholder nodes.

What's Included

Sub-screenStatusDescription
All AccountsLiveA combined, stacked view showing both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable on the same page, each with its own section header.
Accounts ReceivableLiveCustomer-side ledger — invoices owed to the business, aging and collection status.
Accounts PayableLiveVendor-side ledger — bills the business owes, due dates and payment status.

How It Works — The "All Accounts" View

Open Commercial Accounts Hub from Finance Hub or the sidebar
Pick All Accounts, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable
Its content renders in place — no full page navigation

The All Accounts sub-screen is not a separate data source — it reuses the exact same Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable components stacked vertically, each with its own section header and icon, so there is no duplicated ledger logic to maintain. Because each ledger normally shows its own floating AI Assistant toggle at the same fixed screen position, the Accounts Payable section’s toggle is hidden on this combined view to avoid the two overlapping; open the AI panel from either ledger’s own individual sub-screen instead.

When to use All Accounts vs. a single ledger

Use All Accounts for a quick combined snapshot of what the business is owed and what it owes, side by side. Use the standalone Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable sub-screen when you need the AI Assistant panel for that specific ledger, or want a wider, uninterrupted view of just one side.

Hub View vs. Grid View

Same data, different navigation

Commercial Accounts Hub only appears in the sidebar in Hub view mode. In Grid view mode, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable each have their own standalone sidebar entry; the combined All Accounts view exists only inside this hub. See Finance Hub for the full Hub View vs. Grid View explanation, which applies identically here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a standalone "All Accounts" screen in Grid View?
No. The combined All Accounts view exists only inside Commercial Accounts Hub. In Grid View, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable are separate sidebar entries with no combined-view equivalent — you would open each one individually to see the same information.
Why is the Accounts Payable AI Assistant button missing on the All Accounts screen?
Both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable normally show a floating AI Assistant toggle in the same fixed corner of the screen. When both ledgers are stacked together on All Accounts, showing both toggles would overlap, so the Accounts Payable one is hidden here. Open Accounts Payable as its own sub-screen (or via Grid View) to use its AI Assistant.
If I record a payment on Accounts Receivable from this hub, does it show on the standalone Grid View screen too?
Yes. Accounts Receivable inside the hub is the exact same component and data as the standalone Grid View screen — there is only one receivables ledger, viewed through two different navigation paths.
Do Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in this hub connect to the unified contact directory?
Yes. Both ledgers resolve customers and vendors against the same unified contact directory used across Finance, Sales, Purchase, and CRM — see the Unified Contact Directory Architecture documentation for the underlying role-flag model.
