Asset Maintenance Operations

Preventive maintenance scheduling, predictive asset health scoring, work order execution and digital inspection checklists.

What this group does

Asset Maintenance Operations is where the platform turns raw condition data into a maintenance decision: a plan reaches its threshold, an asset's health drops, a technician needs to execute the job safely, or an inspection uncovers a defect. All four screens converge on the same target — a Maintenance Work Order — via distinct trigger conditions, so the work order queue is always populated from a real upstream cause rather than manual entry alone.

Each screen saves its own data on the server, all keyed against the same asset records from Operational Setup. Every trigger below writes to the same shared Maintenance Work Order record structure.

1. Preventive Maintenance

Purpose: A high-density maintenance-schedule ledger driven by time-based, runtime-hours or thermal-cycle strategies, with a live countdown toward each plan's next service threshold and mandatory grid-isolation tracking.

Key features

  • Countdown Progress Bar — a colour-coded bar (green/amber/red) showing the percentage of the operating-hour or calendar threshold consumed before service is due, computed live.
  • Grid Isolation status badge — a high-visibility "Isolation Required" indicator for plans that mandate power de-energization before work can start.
  • Maintenance Plan Configuration drawer — task description, a step-by-step mandatory isolation protocol, required tool sets, and an estimated spare-parts list, plus a full deferral audit trail (supervisor name, reason, previous/new due date).
  • Defer Maintenance Schedule modal — requires a supervisor override reason before extending a plan's due date; every deferral is permanently logged on the record.

AI Assistant

A collapsible AI Assistant panel lives on the right edge of the screen — click the tab (Sparkles icon) to open it, select a plan row to focus its answers, and use the New Chat and Fullscreen controls in its header as needed. Ask it to list overdue maintenance plans, flag plans requiring grid isolation that are due soon, summarize plans by maintenance strategy (time-based, runtime-hours or thermal-cycle), or explain the selected plan's schedule and isolation protocol. Every answer can be saved as a report via Save as Report, and the panel can ground its replies in your My Knowledge library through Attach Knowledge.

2. Asset Health Score

Purpose: A predictive condition-based monitoring (CBM) console — Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) diagnostics, Remaining Useful Life (RUL) projections, and a 0–100% Health Index gauge per critical asset.

Key features

  • Health Status Gauge — green >80, yellow 50–79, red <50, matching the platform-wide threshold convention used across other health/score screens.
  • DGA Risk badge — Normal / Hydrogen Spike / Acetylene Alert / Thermal Overheating, derived from the H2/CH4/C2H2 gas-chromatography reading.
  • Diagnostic & Gas Chromatography modal — a DGA gas-breakdown bar chart, vibration-spectrum sparkline, oil-temperature-history sparkline, and a thermal-imaging hotspot log — all self-contained inline SVG, no external chart library.
  • Estimated RUL — formatted as years/months, alongside a Criticality Tier (Tier 1 Mission Critical / Tier 2 / Tier 3).

AI Assistant

An AI Assistant panel is available from the right-edge tab on this screen too. Select an assessment row to give it scope, then ask it to list critical-risk assets below the health-index threshold, flag assets with a DGA risk escalation (hydrogen spike, acetylene alert or thermal overheating), summarize assets by criticality tier, or explain the selected asset's health trend. Replies can be saved as a report, and the panel can pull extra context from your My Knowledge library when you attach it.

3. Maintenance Work Orders

Purpose: The execution ledger every trigger in this group ultimately writes to — Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety clearance, spare-parts consumption, and technician safety sign-off for every dispatched job.

Key features

  • LOTO Safety Badge — a high-visibility, pulsing indicator that distinguishes Isolated & Locked (safe to work) from Permit Requested (isolation still pending) before any technician is dispatched.
  • Spare Parts & Execution Clearance drawer — logs consumed spare parts (relays, transformer oil, seals) with a live inventory-reservation call, photo-verification attachments, actual downtime hours, and a technician safety attestation.
  • Maintenance Type & Priority — Preventive / Corrective / Condition-Based / Emergency Shutdown, each with a Low–Critical Emergency priority badge.

AI Assistant

Ask it to list critical or emergency work orders still pending LOTO isolation clearance, flag orders with no technician assigned, summarize orders by priority or order type, or explain the selected order's safety sign-off and spare-parts status. Every answer can be saved as a report via Save as Report, and the panel can ground its replies in your My Knowledge library through Attach Knowledge.

4. Inspection Checklists

Purpose: A quality & safety compliance inspection console — step-by-step digital audit checklists with pass/fail/N/A scoring, defect severity tagging, and signed certificate export for regulatory archives.

Key features

  • Audit Score Meter — a visual bar showing the percentage of passed compliance items for the checklist, computed live.
  • Interactive Inspection Execution drawer — step-by-step checklist items with Pass/Fail/N/A toggles, a mandatory thermal-image attachment slot on failed items, and a defect-severity selector (Minor/Major/Critical).
  • Inspection Templates — Substation Routine Audit, Transformer Visual & Thermal, Overhead Line Drone Inspection, SF6 Gas Pressure Check.
  • Automatic critical-failure detection — flags any checklist where a critical-safety item fails, so the defect order fires without waiting for a manual click.

Replies can be saved as a report, and the panel can pull extra context from your My Knowledge library when you attach it.
