What this group does
Freight & Carrier Operations is where the Logistics Coordinator plans and monitors the physical movement of goods once a declaration is in motion: comparing freight rate quotes, tracking each shipment's transit milestones, and keeping a directory of carrier and forwarder performance.

Shipment tracking and freight rate benchmark
1. Freight Rate Benchmark
Purpose: Compare freight rate quotes across carriers and trade lanes.
Gives the Logistics Coordinator a side-by-side view of what different carriers are quoting for the same lane, so the cheapest reliable option is easy to spot before booking.
2. Global Shipment Tracking
Purpose: Track in-transit shipments worldwide with milestone-level visibility.
Follows every in-transit shipment from departure to arrival, milestone by milestone, so a delay or a missed connection surfaces early instead of at the destination dock.
3. Carrier & Forwarder Hub
Purpose: Directory and performance hub for ocean/air carriers and freight forwarders.
Keeps a working directory of the carriers and forwarders the organization uses, along with their track record, so future bookings can be steered toward the partners who deliver reliably.

AI Assistant — Freight Rate Benchmark
The Freight Rate Benchmark screen ships with an embedded AI Assistant — the same right-edge panel used across TotalApp. Open it from the vertical AI Assistant tab on the right of the screen; it understands what is currently on your screen and answers in Markdown, matching the language you write in (Turkish or English).
Because a rate outlier can mean an overpriced quote or a lane worth renegotiating, the assistant is tuned for rate-variance review:
- Spot-vs-contract variance outliers — flag lanes where the spot rate diverges sharply from the contracted rate.
- Rising-trend lanes — surface lanes whose rates have been climbing over recent benchmarks.
- Carrier comparison — compare rates across carriers for the same lane and mode.
- Negotiation guidance — suggest which lanes are the strongest candidates for rate renegotiation.
Tick one or more rows in the table to scope the conversation, then use Analyze selected or Summarize selected. Any answer can be saved via Save as Report (it lands in My Reports), and Add Knowledge lets you attach reference documents to ground the reply.

The assistant respects your Settings → Agentic writer engine: Ollama / local-LLM / in-browser models run entirely on your machine, while API routes through the server — the panel never leaks your data to a server the selected engine can’t reach.
AI Assistant — Global Shipment Tracking
The Global Shipment Tracking screen ships with an embedded AI Assistant — the same right-edge panel used across TotalApp. Open it from the vertical AI Assistant tab on the right of the screen; it understands what is currently on your screen and answers in Markdown, matching the language you write in (Turkish or English).
Because a delayed container racking up demurrage is a cost that grows every day it goes unnoticed, the assistant is tuned for delay and demurrage-risk review:
- At-risk / delayed shipments — flag shipments currently behind schedule or trending toward a miss.
- Low free-time-remaining — surface containers close to running out of free time before demurrage starts accruing.
- High accrued demurrage — highlight shipments that have already accumulated significant demurrage charges.
- Route/status summary — summarize where a shipment or group of shipments currently stands.

- Under-review providers — flag carriers or forwarders currently flagged for performance review.
- Low on-time-delivery rates — surface providers whose on-time rate has fallen below an acceptable level.
- Low booking-acceptance rates — highlight providers frequently declining or failing to confirm bookings.
- Provider comparison — compare two or more providers on performance and reliability.
