Deals & Quotes
Flat-list view of every deal and quote in your pipeline, with inline stage changes and one-click Quote-to-Deal conversion.
Overview
Deals & Quotes presents the same Deal records that power the Sales Pipeline Kanban, but as a flat, sortable table rather than drag-and-drop columns — useful for bulk review, exporting, and working through a large deal list quickly. An isQuote flag on each deal distinguishes a formal Quote (a priced proposal not yet committed to) from a standard Deal already moving through the pipeline.
Same Data, Different View
Deals & Quotes reads and writes the exact same deal records as the Sales Pipeline Kanban and Contacts & Deals. Changing a deal's stage here updates its Kanban column immediately, and vice versa — there is no separate quote database.
Key Features
Pill Filters
All / Deals / Quotes / Won / Lost — narrow the table to exactly the subset you need.
Quote / Deal Distinction
The isQuote flag marks a record as a formal quote rather than a committed deal, shown as a badge on each row.
Stage Dropdown
Change a deal's pipeline stage directly from the table row, without opening the Kanban view.
Convert Quote to Deal
One click turns a Quote into an active pipeline Deal, dropping it into the first pipeline stage.
UI Walkthrough
The pill bar at the top filters by record type and outcome: All, Deals (isQuote false), Quotes (isQuote true), Won, and Lost. The table below lists:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Deal or quote title. |
| Contact | The linked contact from the unified directory. |
| Amount | Deal value in the selected currency. |
| Stage | Current pipeline stage — editable inline via a dropdown. |
| Close Date | Expected or actual close date. |
| Actions | Stage dropdown, Convert Quote to Deal (quotes only), edit, delete. |
Stage Dropdown
Each row's Actions column includes a stage dropdown covering the full pipeline: Draft → Quote Sent → Negotiation → Closed Won / Closed Lost. Selecting a new stage updates the record immediately and is reflected on the Sales Pipeline Kanban board without a page reload.
Convert Quote to Deal
Quotes carry a Convert Quote to Deal action. Clicking it clears the isQuote flag and drops the record into the first stage of the sales pipeline, turning a priced proposal into an active, trackable deal.
Quotes Don't Count Toward Pipeline Totals
Because quotes are not yet committed deals, they are excluded from the Sales Pipeline's Total Pipeline and Weighted Forecast figures, and from Revenue Analytics. Converting a quote is what brings it into those totals.
AI Assistant
Deals & Quotes has a built-in AI Assistant, opened from the tab on the right edge of the screen. It receives the currently filtered list of deals and quotes — stage, value, contact, and expected close date — as structured context, and answers in Markdown.
Stuck Stages
Ask which deals or quotes look stuck in an early stage.
Value Review
Ask it to flag deals with unusually large, small, or missing values.
Timeline Gaps
Ask which deals have a missing or overdue expected close date.
Conversion Candidates
Ask which quotes look ready to convert to deals.
Checking rows in the table adds an Analyse Selected and Summarize Selected shortcut to the assistant, scoped to just those rows. Any reply can be saved as a report via Save as Report, and relevant Knowledge Base sources can be attached with Add Knowledge before asking. The assistant's AI backend follows the Writer Engine setting in Settings → Agentic — Ollama and other local/in-browser engines run entirely on your machine, never through TotalApp's servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
isQuote flag. A Quote is a priced proposal that hasn't been committed to the active pipeline yet; a Deal is actively moving through pipeline stages and counts toward pipeline totals and forecasts. Converting a Quote to a Deal clears the flag and places it in the first pipeline stage.
