Screen Sharing

Share your screen, application window, or browser tab with team members in real time.

Overview

Screen Sharing in TotalApp lets you broadcast your display to other participants in a meeting or huddle session. Choose to share your entire screen, a single application window, or just one browser tab — without installing any plugin or extension.

Quick Start

Open a Meeting or Huddle session, then click the Screen Share button (monitor icon) in the toolbar. Select what you want to share — Full Screen, Application Window, or Browser Tab — and click Share. Participants see your screen in real time inside the meeting panel.

Features

On-Screen Drawing

Annotate over your shared screen using the drawing overlay. Highlight areas, draw arrows, or write text directly on the screen feed without modifying your actual display.

Remote Control

Grant a participant permission to control your mouse and keyboard remotely. Useful for guided troubleshooting or pair programming sessions.

System Audio Sharing

Optionally include your computer's audio output in the screen share, so participants can hear application sounds and video playback.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does screen sharing require a browser extension?
No. TotalApp uses the browser's built-in WebRTC screen capture API, supported in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox without any plugin.
Can I share audio while sharing my screen?
Yes — when selecting a browser tab to share, you can enable "Share tab audio". For full screen or window sharing, system audio sharing availability depends on your operating system and browser combination.
How many people can view my screen at once?
All participants in the meeting session can view the shared screen simultaneously. There is no per-session viewer limit.
