Article Writer produces news-style or feature articles that follow journalistic conventions: a strong lead paragraph answering who, what, when, where, and why; subheaded body sections; and a closing paragraph. Ideal for press releases, industry reports, and content marketing.

Prompt Library & Knowledge Attach

Above the topic field, Insert Prompt pulls a saved template from your prompt library (My Prompts) into the topic, and Attach Knowledge opens a picker over your personal library (My Knowledge — uploaded files, URLs, and pasted text) so the article can cite and reference real source material instead of the model's general knowledge. This is the recommended way to supply the statistics and data mentioned below.

Semantic Ranking

As you type a topic, knowledge sources are ranked by embedding-based relevance (configured in Settings → Agentic → Embedding Engine). The most relevant sources appear at the top of the Attach Knowledge picker with a relevance score badge.

Assisted Mode

Default search mode. You pick sources manually from the ranked list — nothing is attached without your confirmation.

Automatic Mode

Switch to Automatic in Settings → Agentic → My Knowledge Search Behavior and the top-ranked sources auto-attach as you type, shown with a "N sources auto-attached" chip. Open the picker any time to review or override the selection.

Graceful Fallback

Without an embedding model configured, the picker shows your full source list unranked with a note explaining why — Attach Knowledge and Generate always keep working.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Article Writer include statistics or data?

You can provide data points in your topic prompt, or attach a source document via Attach Knowledge, and the AI will incorporate them naturally. The AI does not browse the web, so all factual data must be provided by you.

Do I need Ollama to use Attach Knowledge?

No. You can always manually pick sources from your library. Ollama (via Settings → Agentic) only powers the semantic ranking and Automatic auto-attach behaviour — without it, sources simply appear unranked.

Can I change the tone of the generated article?

Yes. Article Writer supports four tone modes — News (neutral), Feature (narrative), Opinion (persuasive), and Press Release (formal) — selectable before you generate. The tone affects word choice, sentence structure, and how the lead paragraph is framed.

Does the article come with subheadings and a pull quote automatically?

Subheadings are generated automatically to break the article into scannable H2/H3 sections. A pull quote is optional — enable it before generating and the AI will extract a striking sentence from the body suitable for design use.
