Anime Writer

Generate anime episode scripts with scene descriptions, character dialogue, and stage directions.

Overview

Anime Writer generates structured scripts for anime episodes. Provide a series premise, episode topic, and key characters, and the AI produces a scene-by-scene script with setting descriptions, character dialogue, and emotional beats styled in the anime genre.

Script Structure

Episode Title

Generated episode title matching the anime naming convention, often dramatic or poetic.

Scene Headers

INT./EXT. style headers with location and time of day for each scene.

Dialogue

Character name followed by their line with emotion tags in square brackets for voice direction.

Action Lines

Descriptive action and reaction lines between dialogue for visual storytelling.

Prompt Library & Knowledge Attach

Above the story concept field, Insert Prompt pulls a saved template from your prompt library (My Prompts) into the concept, and Attach Knowledge opens a picker over your personal library (My Knowledge — uploaded files, URLs, and pasted text) so the episode can be grounded in real reference material — a series bible, character profiles, prior episode scripts — instead of the model's general knowledge.

Semantic Ranking

As you type a premise, knowledge sources are ranked by embedding-based relevance (configured in Settings → Agentic → Embedding Engine). The most relevant sources appear at the top of the Attach Knowledge picker with a relevance score badge.

Assisted Mode

Default search mode. You pick sources manually from the ranked list — nothing is attached without your confirmation.

Automatic Mode

Switch to Automatic in Settings → Agentic → My Knowledge Search Behavior and the top-ranked sources auto-attach as you type, shown with a "N sources auto-attached" chip. Open the picker any time to review or override the selection.

Graceful Fallback

Without an embedding model configured, the picker shows your full source list unranked with a note explaining why — Attach Knowledge and Generate always keep working.

FAQ

Can I specify the anime genre?
Yes. Include the genre in your premise such as "shonen battle anime" or "slice-of-life school comedy" and the tone, pacing, and character archetypes will reflect it.
How many scenes does a generated episode have?
A typical generated episode has 4 to 8 scenes covering an opening hook, character development, rising action, and a cliffhanger or resolution.
Do I need Ollama to use Attach Knowledge?
No. You can always manually pick sources from your library. Ollama (via Settings → Agentic) only powers the semantic ranking and Automatic auto-attach behaviour — without it, sources simply appear unranked.
